The Plaques Program of the Battle of Britain Historical Society is another very important step in not only preserving the memory of the Battle of Britain, but remembering those pilots that so couragously took part. It is through these plaques that give the younger generation in our schools and colleges a chance to understand that a former pupil, or in many case a number of pupils when on to become fighter pilots with Royal Air Force Fighter Command and fought in the Battle of Britain, and became one of "The Few".
Together with our main sponsors of this Plaques Program, our Society is honoured to be involved in this venture that allows us to present plaques to the last school attended by the the pilots/s that we are commemorating.
